Having a clear understanding of your goals will give you a better chance of achieving them.

2. Research: proper preparation is vital.

  • Do your homework before the negotiation.
  • Research your opponent, their needs, and their goals.
  • Knowing as much as possible about the other party will give you an advantage in the negotiation.

3. Build rapport: Establishing a connection/rapport with the other party will help to build trust and create a more favourable negotiation environment.

Start the negotiation with small talk, a friendly, open approach, and asking the other side what they would like to achieve – in a win-win

This situation is advantageous for both parties.

4. Be confident: Confidence is key in negotiations. confidence comes with preparation. If you are not confident in your abilities or your position, it will be difficult to persuade the other party to agree to your terms.

Be prepared to compromise on some issues, while remaining firm on others.

Following these tips can unleash your negotiation power and increase your income and
